Health care support worker Older Peoples & Stroke Services
Full‑time (37 hrs) with 12‑hour day or night shift/rotation.
Location: QEUH, Older Peoples & Stroke Services, Acute Assessment Ward 2a.
Responsibilities:
* Assist trained nursing staff in delivering patient care procedures and basic nursing care.
* Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living and support the Registered Nurse and other clinical team members.
* Co‑operate with other disciplines to maximise patient care and maintain good relationships.
* Provide an empathic approach to clients’ carers and refer them to a trained nurse for any questions or concerns.
* Preferably have previous hospital experience in an acute setting (not essential).
Qualifications & skills:
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to thrive in a busy working environment.
