They are now seeking a Trainee Accountant to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual looking to begin or progress their career in accountancy within a supportive and professional environment.
What you’ll be doing
As a Trainee Accountant, you’ll gain hands-on experience across all areas of practice, working with a variety of clients and supported by experienced accountants. Typical responsibilities include:
* Assisting with bookkeeping and preparation of financial records
* Processing invoices, expenses, and bank transactions
* Preparing trial balances and supporting the production of financial statements
* Assisting with VAT returns, payroll, and tax computations
* Supporting audit assignments and maintaining client working papers
* Learning to use cloud accounting systems such as Xero
* Liaising with clients and contributing to smooth delivery of services
* Participating in structured training and mentoring to build your technical skills

Essential skills and qualities:
* A-levels, BTEC or equivalent (ideally in Accounting, Business, or Mathematics)
* Good GCSE results in English and Maths
* Strong numerical and organisational skills

* A proactive and positive approach to learning
* High integrity and attention to detail
Desirable (but not essential):
* Some previous bookkeeping or accounts experience
* Familiarity with Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks
* Ambition to study towards AAT, ACCA, or ACA qualification
Training and support
You’ll follow a structured training plan that provides exposure to multiple disciplines, including accounts preparation, audit, tax, and business advisory work. They will support your study towards a professional qualification (AAT, ACCA, or ACA), provide study leave, and ensure you have the mentoring and resources you need to succeed.
