Location: Birmingham, UK (with regular international travel)

Salary: Competitive + Performance Bonus

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About Us

JR Machines Ltd, headquartered in Birmingham, UK, is a leading specialist in the buying and selling of used machine tools. With a wholly owned subsidiary in India (52N2W Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd.), we operate across international markets, supplying machinery to a wide range of industrial sectors. We are now looking for an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in expanding our business both in the UK and overseas.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and overseeing sales strategies. You will work closely with the Director and international teams to develop new markets and expand our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement growth strategies to expand sales in the UK, Europe, and India.
* Identify, engage, and secure new clients in the machine tool and manufacturing sectors.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and suppliers.
* Conduct market research to identify emerging trends and competitor activities.
* Work with the Director to negotiate contracts and close high-value deals.
* Oversee marketing initiatives, trade shows, and client presentations.
* Provide regular reporting on pipeline development, sales performance, and forecasts.

Skills & Experience

* Proven track record in business development, sales, or international trade (preferably in machinery, engineering, or manufacturing).
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
* Experience with international markets (India/Asia/Europe) is an advantage.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM systems.
* Engineering, technical sales, or industrial background preferred.
