As our business continues to grow, we are strengthening our HR function to ensure we continue to support our people, our leaders and our operational teams effectively.
This is a hybrid role based in Manchester, with regular travel expected to our Bolton office, North East regional offices and Birmingham as required for meetings, stakeholder support and wider HR activity.
About the Role
Our HR team partners closely with operational and functional leaders across Dalkia Engineering, supporting all people‑related activity across the employee lifecycle. The team has grown significantly and continues to evolve to meet the needs of a fast‑paced, commercially driven engineering environment.
As an HR Advisor, you will provide proactive, hands‑on support across your region, acting as a trusted partner to managers and employees. You will work across a broad range of HR activities including employee relations, organisational change, recruitment support, performance, engagement and continuous improvement.
The role is varied, fast‑moving and requires someone who is adaptable, resilient and confident working with stakeholders at all levels.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide day‑to‑day HR support and guidance to managers across your region.
* Lead and support on employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and performance issues.
* Act as an ambassador for the employee lifecycle, ensuring consistent and high‑quality HR processes.
* Support organisational change activities including restructures, TUPE, consultations and workforce planning.
* Build strong relationships with operational leaders, acting as a trusted advisor.
* Support recruitment activity in partnership with the Talent Acquisition team.
* Coach managers to build capability and confidence in people management.
* Contribute to HR projects aligned to the HR plan and business priorities.
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Ensure HR documentation, systems and reporting are accurate and up to date.
* Promote a positive, inclusive and high‑performance culture across the business.

What You’ll Bring
* Experience in an HR Advisor or similar generalist role.
* Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience managing ER cases end‑to‑end.
* Ability to work autonomously while being part of a wider HR team.
* Experience supporting operational or engineering environments (desirable).
