We are seeking an Outreach Tutor to join an independent specialist SEMH school for young people ages 11-16 in Scunthorpe. Whether in the classroom or out in the community, youll be helping students rebuild confidence, develop essential life skills, and re-engage with learningon their terms.
The Role
As an Outreach Tutor, you will:
* Deliver tailored learning sessions to individuals or small groups
* Teach both on-site and in community settings (e.g., homes or local venues)
* Plan engaging lessons and prepare high-quality resources
* Track progress and maintain accurate student records
* Support students personal development, independence, and emotional resilience
* Promote positive behaviour and ensure a safe learning environment
* Collaborate with families, carers, and external agencies
Experience/Qualifications:
* Experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, or in alternative provision
* At least 2 years experience in a relevant educational or support role
* QTS/QTLS is desirable, but not essential
* Confident teaching across Key Stages 3 & 4 (or Primary)
* Flexible, creative, and passionate about achieving positive outcomes for all learners
