Due to a recent increase in student numbers, Belong Learning CiC is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual with drive, passion, enthusiasm and ambition to join our Gloucestershire Teaching Department. We are looking for a teacher who is an excellent classroom practitioner, deeply committed to improving student outcomes and passionate about teaching and learning.
Belong School Gloucestershire is an independent special school for students aged 11 to 16 from across Gloucestershire. We specialise in working with parents, carers and other professionals to enable our students to strengthen their social, emotional and mental health whilst achieving academic outcomes to enable them to access post 16 further education and employment.
We work with young people and their families to develop learning strategies to overcome individual challenges and meet Education Health and Care Plan goals with our unshakable belief that with the right support, every pupil can learn, grow and thrive.
A number of our students require a blend of offsite/ in school teaching and/ or a bespoke transition plan.
The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with experience of working with children with SEN. Applications are welcomed from ECTs and experienced teachers, both primary and secondary.
*About you*
The successful candidate will have QTS and experience in teaching English to GCSE level.
We require a degree of flexibility to adapt to the needs of our students, the learning environment, and a commitment to meeting targets set on EHCPS.
Experience of working in an SEMH setting would be desirable.
*About the role*
All students study core subjects at KS3 and KS4. Students at KS4 can undertake both GCSE level qualifications as well as Functional Skills.
The role will be based in Slimbridge.
