At the heart of this is a new, long-term capital delivery Alliance, bringing together top-tier contractors, consultants, in-house teams, and leaders from other industries; delivering major change at pace and scale. Were seeking a Project Manager to play a key role in this transformation managing high-value projects through a complex, multi-organisation Alliance model. You will lead delivery from concept to completion, working in partnership with regulators, delivery partners, internal teams, and local communities to ensure alignment, drive performance, and deliver real environmental impact. This is a stakeholder-heavy role where your ability to influence, coordinate, and lead across boundaries is critical. Where you fit in: As our Project Manager you will: Join our Asset Delivery Team, managing and successfully delivering capital projects to time, cost & quality working in an Alliance delivering the AMP8 Storm Overflow Programme. Lead collaborative project teams consisting of YW & Alliance Partner colleagues, plus other stakeholders, to efficiently deliver your programme of work Manage a programme budget on multiple projects of varying values at any one time and over multiple financial years Draft and manage project contracts with our Partners, assisted by project sponsors and specialist contract & commercial colleague Keep a spotlight on Health & Safety, Carbon net zero targets, and Environmental sustainability, ensuring they remain a high priority in your project delivery. Site visits will be required to undertake Health and Safety, attend meetings and carrying out assurance activities Work with key stakeholders and customers, both internal & external, maintaining effective communication, positive relationships, and managed expectations Obtain project funding approvals, and maintain good financial governance throughout the life of your projects Ensure accurate project data is maintained in various systems, including monthly forecasting of expenditure and key milestone dates. What skills & qualifications you will need: You manage significant project and programme budgets and forecast over multiple financial years. You excel in a collaborative environment, leading and managing a diverse range of project teams. In this high profile programme, stakeholder management is essential. You will represent the company on internal and external events, change programmes and transformation plans. A full UK driving licence You will also benefit from having: A recognised qualification in a programme or project management course such as APM and appropriate level of membership of a recognised institution would be desirable. Knowledge of the construction processes from concept through to validation testing, handover and operation, and the logic and technical constraints around each of these areas. Knowledge of process safety and Failure Modes Effect Analysis would be an advantage Systems thinker with experience including understanding customer requirements right, first-time, and, outcome focussed. Previous experience working as a Project Manager. Experience of managing projects using multiple methodologies.
