As a Business Development Manager for BT Local Business you'll become part of a lively sales team who take a proactive approach in contacting SME businesses to generate interest in BT's market-leading products and services.

Your duties will include :-

* Opportunity generation - initiating interactions with customers (primarily by outbound calling) to gain an understanding of their business with a view to identifying sales opportunities.
* Creating new sales leads and working closely with the Field Sales team.
* Discussing the full range of BT products and services, up-selling and cross-selling to existing customers alongside New Business sales to customers not currently using BT.
* Managing & building strong customer relationships.

Using our CRM system (Salesforce) to input and update information.

Requirements Skills and Attributes:

* A successful track record in sales.
* Self-motivated, energetic and results driven.
* Excellent communication and rapport building skills and confident making outbound calls.
* Resilient when handling objections and comfortable having challenging conversations.
* Hungry for success and progression.
* Enthusiastic and able to learn quickly.
* Good IT skills including the use of CRM databases
