Role Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and proven Team Leader to join our Zirconium Team.
In this role, you will ensure your team follows manufacturing procedures safely and efficiently to meet production plans.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure highest health and safety standards are maintained whilst reinforcing safety first culture.
Organise department’s activities to ensure agreed production plans are completed.
Lead daily production meetings and maintain KPI reporting data, including 5S and visual factory information to support Luxfer BEST Lean module and various scorecards.
Lead by example demonstrating commitment and accountability for continuous improvement and positive change, including the mentoring of apprentices. Foster an environment of learning & personal development, ensuring all members of your team complete training on time and in full aiming for 40 hours per year per employee.
Line management responsibility for operatives within assigned areas of responsibility.
Complete permit to work documentation to support engineering activities.
Liaise with Engineering as well as upstream internal suppliers and downstream internal customers to ensure efficient communication channels are maintained.
Ensure all production SAP transactions for production and regular cycle counts are completed accurately and on time.
Act as a role model for the company core values of; Customer First, Personal Development, Teamwork, Accountability, Integrity and Innovation.
Qualifications/Education: Secondary school education with at least 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent), including English, Maths, and Science (grades C/4 or above).
Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject e.g.
manufacturing or science.
Leadership or supervisory qualification such as ILM would be an advantage.
Experience: At least 5 years proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
At least 2 years of experience managing a team.
Experience using SAP would be an advantage.
Working Pattern: 12hour shifts on a 24/6 pattern across 4 teams.
