Your Medicals Pharmacy seeks an experienced and composed Customer Service Assistant to join our small, close-knit team. You will operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, managing calls and emails, handling patient inquiries, supporting order processing, and delivering outstanding service even under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Professional Communication
* Act as the primary point of contact viatelephone and email, providing courteous, accurate information on prescriptions, services, and order status.
* Efficiently handle queries, order placements, amendments, and cancellations.
* Must havesubstantial experiencein managing high volumes of calls within a call‑centre or similar environment, utilising call-centre technology.
Customer Advocacy & Upselling
* Empathetically assess customer needs and recommend relevant over-the-counter products or services where appropriate.
Administrative Duties & Data Accuracy
* Maintain and update detailed customer and order records in pharmacy systems with high accuracy.
* Log customer feedback, identify service trends, and contribute to continuous improvement.
* Collaborate effectively within our small, supportive team, especially during peak demand.
* Thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and maintain performance under pressure.
Compliance & Confidentiality
* Strictly adhere to GDPR and pharmacy confidentiality policies.
* Escalate complaints or system issues professionally and promptly.
Requirements
* Provencall‑handling experiencewith high inbound call volumes
* Previouscustomer serviceexperience, ideally in phone/email support.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Proficient indata entrywith meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to analyse customer needs and suggest tailored solutions.
* Friendly and compassionate demeanour with a passion for customer care.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability tomulti-taskeffectively in afast-paced environment.
* Proven ability towork reliably under pressurewithin a small team.
Desirable Qualifications
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
* Experience working in apharmacy or healthcaresetting.
* Formal training or certification in customer service, administration, or pharmacy services.
* Knowledge of call-centre telephony and technology.
Working Conditions
* Full-time,in-person role

* Standard hours: 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday.
