Equans is excited to be working with Moderna, a leading biotechnology company focused on the development of messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutics and vaccines, at their brand-new Moderna Innovation and Technology Centre (MITC) in Oxfordshire. The state-of-the-art MITC consists of manufacturing, laboratory, plant rooms, clean rooms and offices, and is responsible for the development and manufacturing of Moderna’s pharmaceutical products. The site is located at Harwell Science and Innovation Campus, a hub for scientific advancement, approximately a 20-minute drive from Oxford city centre and accessible by public transport. Equans is looking for a Static Site Supervisor to join the team on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week. A competitive salary and benefits package is on offer.
Harwell MITC site responsibilities include maintaining lab and manufacturing areas to clean room standards. The maintenance of HVAC equipment is essential to ensure production and science remain operational. As Equans representative and first point of contact with the Client, the role requires cost-effective, timely delivery of works, maximizing revenue where possible.
The successful candidate will have the ability to manage the site’s engineer team, ensure PPM targets are met monthly, and keep the site compliant with statutory requirements while keeping critical infrastructure operational.
What will you deliver?
* Manage both customer and team expectations
* Respond in a timely manner to verbal and written requests and coordinate quotations; provide monthly reports if required; attend client meetings and close out audit reports and actions
* Review Engineering Job Sheets for accuracy, legibility and remedial works
* Ensure all PPM is carried out in accordance with the maintenance specification and documented in real time using the PDA to log start/wait/stop times with comments to evidence completion
* Update customers CAFM system in real time with start/wait/stop times and provide full description of works; advise of any follow-on works required
* Ensure reactive tasks are completed and identify areas for improvement; record plant failures using quotation forms and issue to line manager; log in CAFM system
* Ensure plant faults are swiftly remedied to maintain serviceability, in line with delegated authority and contract requirements
* Undertake electrical test and inspection of electrical systems
* Carry out regular site audits
* Attend site in response to breakdowns outside normal hours (call outs) and participate in the on-call rota
* Ensure toolbox talks are carried out
* Supervise and monitor subcontractors on site during maintenance

Who are we looking for?
* Electrical C&G or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline
* Electrical inspection 2391 (required)
* BS7671 18th Edition
* Ability to read electrical drawings
* Mechanical qualification desirable
* Experience managing engineering teams
* Experience in pharmaceutical or process environments
* Experience in building services M&E
This role includes a DBS Standard check; ability to pass is essential.
