Duties
* Prepare design concepts and drawings
* Liaise with customers and suppliers
* Control issue and revisions of drawings
* Source new suppliers as necessary and arrange to visit
* Prepare drawings for peripheral component parts and assemblies
* Prepare costing spread sheets and complete a costing template
* Identify the technical details required for the application and establish the type of materials before carrying out relevant technical calculations
* Meet with suppliers representatives to discuss their products and services
* Attend training courses when requested
* Respond to telephone enquiries from customers and suppliers
Key Skills/Experience Required
* Several years of proven experience in a similar role/similar industry
* Proficient in CAD design using SolidWorks DWG Editor and DraftSight
* Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
* Good communication and team player
* Effective interpretation of instructions
* Project Management Conscientious, methodical, organised and tidy
* Flexible and capable of managing changing priorities and tasks
* Able to use initiative
* HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering
* Hydraulic Systems Stage 1 & 2
