Our client is currently seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join a site-based team in Cumbria. This role is critical to the delivery of commissioning activities on a high-profile nuclear project and will involve planning, executing, and documenting commissioning phases.
Prepare and develop plant commissioning test specifications
Conduct early inspection of site installations to support system handovers
Lead testing activities throughout the IPC commissioning phase
Organise and coordinate Commissioning Technicians and support staff.
Initiate and implement Field Observation Reports (FOBs).
Apply and remove Temporary Commissioning Aids (TCAs)
Proven experience with nuclear CE&I systems commissioning.
Minimum HNC/HND in an engineering-related subject.
Strong background in nuclear commissioning and testing procedures.
Project management knowledge (APM membership desirable)
Proficient in producing calculations using Microsoft Excel
SMSTS or SSSTS certification
CSCS or ECS Supervisory Card (trade-relevant)
The position may require a shift pattern: 4 days on / 4 days off, 12-hour rolling shifts.
