Roche Health/Home Care are looking to recruit an Experienced Estates Manager
The Business & Opportunity:
This is an opportunity for an Estates manager to become part of the team, with estates operating across social care sectors, providing residential and community services for older people. We are regulated and registered with the Care Quality Commission to provide a range of services including care homes with nursing, community domiciliary care, extra care services and retirement living.
Specific Requirement:
Reporting to the Development Director and Operations Manager, you will be part of the management team and take ownership of estates matters.
You will carry out a hands-on, all-encompassing role which will include:
1. Managing the estates and its equipment to ensure it meets all regulatory standards including Health and Safety Acts and Health and Social Care Act 2014
2. Ensuring all estates are operating effectively, efficiently and in line with Company policies and procedures.
3. Preparing and maintaining estate budgets
4. Managing maintenance, repairs, and renovations of properties within the estate
5. Supervising and provide good leadership to all estate maintenance employees
6. Negotiate, hire and manage contractors to complete works on behalf of the estate
7. Creating and implementing optimal practices for daily estate operations
8. Managing administrative tasks like insurance claims and preparing invoices where required
9. Negotiating and managing the estates utility contracts
Skills & Experience required:
1. A minimum of two years prior experience in real estate, property management or similar.
2. Batchelor's degree in real estate, property management, business administration or similar.
3. Great leadership and project management skills
4. Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
5. Ability to be flexible and react as required
6. Neboshh General Cert in Health and Safety or equivalent
7. Ability to think outside the box and be able to add real value through the exciting times ahead.
8. Highly organised, self-motivated, excellent communicator and a good eye for detail.
9. Commercially astute to be able to analyse problems and help with decision making.
