Overview
We are seeking a Chef/cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety. This role requires creativity in meal preparation and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications
* Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety standards
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new and innovative dishes
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices
* Serve meals in an appealing manner, ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards
Qualifications
* Proven experience in a culinary role, preferably within a restaurant setting
* Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
* Previous kitchen experience is essential; culinary qualifications are advantageous
* Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment
* Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
* A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £13.00-£14.50 per hour
Expected hours: 45 – 50 per week
