Are you an experienced Procurement Officer ready to drive sustainable procurement solutions and create a greener UK? As a compensation we offer basic salary of £37,135, plus Company Car, up to 10% Annual Bonus, Company Pension, 25 Holiday Days Banking Holiday, Benefits Catalogue. We’ll help you progress, and develop yourself further, and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that. What will I be doing? You’ll act as a single point of contact for procurement in your assigned area, purchasing Indirect goods, managing a portfolio of suppliers and supporting strategic sourcing to achieve cost-effective, compliant solutions. Your key responsibilities will include: • Managing the full end-to-end procurement process across delegated categories • Leading supplier negotiations and contract development for local and international suppliers • Supporting supplier due diligence, performance monitoring, and risk management • Producing tender and procurement plans, and managing competitive tenders • Liaising with internal customers to understand requirements and align procurement activity • Managing imports, pricing updates, and supplier data within procurement systems • Reporting on cost savings, supplier performance, and sustainability metrics • Supporting strategic procurement and European/global projects as required • Attending supplier meetings and representing procurement at operational reviews Willingness to travel within the UK (frequently) and Europe (occasionally), including overnight stays. What are the requirements? • Demonstrable procurement experience managing your own categories or supplier portfolios • Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills • Ability to manage complex procurement tasks from concept to contract award • Experience in competitive tendering and contract development • Knowledge of importing goods and INCOTERMS is desirable • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with procurement systems preferred • MCIPS qualified or working towards is desirable • Flexible, proactive, and able to work independently with excellent attention to detail Full UK driving licence and good IT skills are essential for this role.
