Public Protection Officer – Anti Social Behaviour We have an excellent opportunity for a Public Protection Officer to join our experienced team of professionals. As Public Protection Officer, you will be working on projects, either on your own or with other Safer Solihull partners, to reduce nuisance and criminal behaviours and improve community safety. You will be working across the socially and economically diverse Borough of Solihull and be responsible for the regulation of a range of community safety, anti-social behaviour and environmental compliance issues across the Borough’s public realm, business and non-council housing areas. To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate: Experience of enforcement, up to date knowledge of current practices and the ability to think outside the box to ensure compliance with the range of Council policies and community safety legislation. Highly developed communication and negotiation skills with the ability to find resolutions across a range of problems. Where necessary, you will have the ability to use your knowledge and experience to deliver proportionate enforcement action. It is likely that no single agency will be able to provide solutions to some issues. As a result, you will have a track record of strong engagement with partner agencies and working with them to provide creative solutions to a wide variety of problems. This job would suit someone with regulatory or enforcement experience who is ready for the challenge of a broad range of legislation and tactics to help solve local problems.
