This is an exciting, fast paced role working for one of the top 30 conveyancing firms in the UK.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Legal Cashier
* Processing Bills and associated schedules
* Dealing with all day-to-day ledger postings to Client and Office accounts
* Preparation of monthly bank reconciliations
* Producing monthly reports to all fee earners
* Credit Control
* Processing Purchase ledger Invoices and payments.
* Posting and reconciling HMLR, HMCTS and credit card payments
* Processing payments and transfers daily via an online banking system
* Working with fee earners to ensure matter balances are kept accurate and up to date
* Various Search Invoices
* Assisting management with lockups
* Daily itemisation of workflow and charges
* Taking and reconciling credit / debit card transactions
* Stamp Duty payments
* Supporting the Finance Manager with general administration of accounts
Key Skills And Experience Of The Successful Legal Cashier
* Legal cashier with at least 2 years’ experience
* Good understanding of Solicitors SRA Account Rules
* Willingness to undertake additional training as required
* Experience of working with a practice management system (Tikit would be beneficial but not essential), Microsoft Excel and online banking (Lloyds Commercial Banking)
* Demonstrate reliability, organisation and ability to work as part of a team
* Has a strong attention to detail and is able to work effectively under pressure
* This is a fast paced role and the ability to work under pressure, with accuracy is essential.
* Being able to maintain confidentiality to our internal and external clients
