We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Health Care Assistant to support vulnerable adults with their daily living needs. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, person-centred care, promote independence, and maintain dignity at all times. This role may include working in residential care, supported living, nursing homes, or community settings, depending on experience.
* Provide personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming)
* Support mobility, including use of hoists and mobility aids
* Assist with meals and hydration
* Observe, record and report any changes in service users' health or behaviour.
* Support residents with social activities and emotional wellbeing
* Follow personalised care plans and safeguarding procedures
* Maintain confidentiality and accurate care documentation
* Work collaboratively with care teams, nurses and family members
* Uphold infection control and health & safety standards
* Valid Right to Work in the UK
* Good communication and written English skills
* Caring, patient and trustworthy attitude
* Willingness to undertake a DBS check
* Flexibility to work shifts if required (days/nights/weekends)
Desirable (Not Essential)
* Previous experience as HCA, Support Worker, Care Assistant
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
* Moving & Handling, Medication or First Aid training
