Finance Controller Needed in Greater Manchester Working Hours: Monday to Friday Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 basic bonus company car benefitsOur client, a reputable and growing 3-site automotive dealer group, is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Controller to lead their Finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional to join a dynamic senior management team and play a key role in driving the financial strategy of the group. Key Responsibilities for the Finance Controller: Lead and manage the Finance and Sales Administration teams across three dealership locations Produce monthly management accounts and financial forecasts Implement and manage financial policies including capital, debt, tax, pensions, and insurance Ensure compliance with audit standards and statutory regulatory requirements Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk Contribute to strategic planning and support business growth initiatives Deliver financial reporting to senior stakeholdersWhat We’re Looking For in a Finance Controller: Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within an Owner-Managed SME Strong background in the Retail Motor Trade is highly advantageous Fully or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACMA, ACWA preferred) Strong leadership and team management skills Commercially astute with a hands-on approach and operational empathy Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Advanced IT and Excel modelling skills, including DMS experience High attention to detail and experience in fast-paced finance teams Ideally 8 years in accounting If this Head of Finance / Financial Controller role interests you and you’d like to find out more about it or other senior automotive roles, please contact Cecily at Perfect Placement UK Ltd.
