General Kitchen Assistant
Our client in Heversham is looking for a reliable and organised General Kitchen Assistant to help prepare delicious, home-cooked meals for boarding students. This is a temp-to-perm position.
Position Details:
1. Hours: 14 per week, term time plus 1 week.
2. Monday/Tuesday: 3:00pm - 6:30pm
3. Saturday: 10:00am - 5:30pm (with a 30-minute break)
4. Rate: £12.26 per hour
5. Location: Boarding House, Heversham
6. DBS Check: An enhanced disclosure and barring service check is required.
Key Responsibilities:
7. Assist in preparing meals, including managing special dietary requirements (gluten-free, vegan, allergies, etc.).
8. Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety in the kitchen and dining areas.
9. Oversee food serving, washing up, and the setup/cleaning of dining spaces.
10. Manage stock control, record keeping, and monthly stock takes.
11. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness.
12. Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers to ensure value for money.
13. Carry out any additional tasks as requested by management.
