What you'll be doing;
* Maintaining a safe and compliant fleet of 17 HGV vehicles.
* Ensuring all related legislation is complied with, including servicing frequencies, driver hours, ADR etc. As well as overall responsibility for internal and external fleet audits.
* HR Management of 15 HGV Drivers.
* Nominated on the Scottish Traffic Area Operator's licence.
* Provide support to the Business Management team with special projects (continuous improvements, optimization, efficiencies etc.).
* You will have overall responsibility for the maintenance budget.
* Ideally you will be able to cover HGV driving duties if required.
What we're looking for;
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential
* Transport Manager CPC is essential
* Knowledge of all aspects of fleet management
* Knowledge of ADR strongly desirable
* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance planning / workshop management desirable
* Planning and organisational skills
* Personnel Management
* Ideally a qualified HGV Driver (Class I or Class II, LGV C+E or LGV C)
