Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor Location: West Dunbartonshire Salary: £40-45k DOE Contract: Permanent / Full-time About the Client: Our client is a well-established FMCG business known for its high-quality products and strong commitment to employee wellbeing and safety. They are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their team and support ongoing safety initiatives across their operations. The Role: As the Health and Safety Advisor, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and company policies. You will work closely with various departments to identify risks, conduct audits, and implement best practices to maintain a safe working environment. Key Responsibilities: Carry out regular health and safety audits and risk assessments across multiple sites. Advise management and staff on health and safety legislation and company policies. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, producing detailed reports and recommending improvements. Assist in the development, review, and implementation of health and safety procedures. Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks to employees at all levels. Liaise with external bodies such as the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) during inspections or audits. Support emergency planning and response activities. Promote a positive health and safety culture within the organisation. Keep abreast of changes in legislation and industry best practices relevant to the FMCG sector. Candidate Profile: Proven experience in a health and safety advisory or similar role, preferably within FMCG or manufacturing environments. Relevant professional qualification, such as NEBOSH National General Certificate or Diploma. Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation. Skilled in conducting risk assessments and audits. Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging stakeholders at all levels. Organised with strong attention to detail and report-writing capabilities. Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively. Proficient with Microsoft Office and health and safety management systems. Why Apply?
