About The Company
Beaumont College is a very special place. We provide highly personalised pathways for special school leavers, supporting them in their journey to become adults and live independent, fulfilling lives.
Each student spends 2-3 years following an intensive, multi-disciplinary study programme that helps them transition into busy, productive, and fulfilling adult lives.
About The Role
Pathways are highly personalised, combining outcomes for education, health, and care. Pre-entry assessments utilize information from the student’s current school or college, health and care professionals, and the latest Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This is complemented by interactive assessments with the student and their parent or carer.
Our physiotherapists and assistants develop tailored therapeutic plans for direct treatment or delegated responsibilities, supporting students with identified needs through an ambitious, intensive pathway to reach their potential. Interventions may include pain management, maintaining or improving flexibility, or enabling wheelchair users to stand and turn independently. Students experience transformative growth through expert, empathetic physiotherapy over several years, with a focus on complex health conditions and learning disabilities, within our NMSK and neuro-physio disciplines.
As students transition from child to adult NHS services, support is provided for navigating changes in support thresholds and planning for life beyond college, including accessing Personal Independence Payments (PIPs) to sustain therapy and active lifestyles post-graduation.
