Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of platters, afternoon tea and lunch menu, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
* Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input where appropriate
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
* Serve food to guests in a professional and courteous manner
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
Requirements
* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* A genuine passion for food and creating exceptional dining experiences
