Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate cook/Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of platters, afternoon tea and lunch menu, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to memorable dining experiences for our guests. The ideal applicant will have a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations, with a keen eye for food safety and hygiene.

This is the beginning of our food journey and we welcome you to join us in developing a strong identity and an exciting menu for a coffee shop/wine ba.

Responsibilities

* Prepare and cook a range of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
* Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
* Assist in menu planning and development, offering creative input where appropriate
* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
* Serve food to guests in a professional and courteous manner
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards

Requirements

* Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations
* Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
* A genuine passion for food and creating exceptional dining experiences

This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary career within a supportive team environment. All applicants must demonstrate a commitment to high standards of hygiene, safety, and customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £10.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
