Machine Operative – Production (Metal Finishing & Improvements)

* Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
* Job Type: Full-time 8:00-16:30
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Machine Operative to join our small, close-knit production facility specialising in metal improvements and finishing. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a practical, fast-paced environment involving machinery setup and light manufacturing tasks. No previous experience on Machine is required, but comfort with production or machine-based environments is essential.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Setting up and operating production machinery.
* Handling and operating moving parts safely and accurately.
* Masking products using tape as part of the finishing process.
* Supporting the design and manufacturing workflow where required.
* Ensuring machines are set correctly prior to production runs.
* Following safety procedures and maintaining a tidy work area.
* Working as part of a small team to meet production targets.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Previous experience in machine operation, manufacturing, or production is beneficial but not essential.
* Comfortable working with machinery and manual processes.
* Good attention to detail.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
* Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a small team.
