Requirements
Must have:
- Minimum 3 years demonstrable industry experience with detailed knowledge of automation and development - Creating complex Python3 automation classes for production systems - Advanced Python features (Workflows, DSC concepts, Bare Metal Deployment) - Configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef) - Bash and PowerShell scripting for OS-level automation - REST/SOAP API integration - Automated deployment of server, network and storage technologies - Supporting large-scale infrastructure environments - Reverse engineering legacy/manual builds into zero-touch automation - Troubleshooting hardware and software component failures - Working within Agile delivery teams - Active SC clearance (mandatory) - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical and problem-solving capability - Competent in MS Office Suite - Certifications (minimum one within last 5 years): CCNP (or equivalent networking certification), VMware VCP, RHCE/RHCA, OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) or equivalent - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science (or related discipline) (desirable)
Responsibilities:
- Support the design, development, build and validation of infrastructure automation components forming part of the XXXX(D) platform - Develop low-level automation using Python3 - Implement deployment automation using Ansible - Generate configuration and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins - Perform OS-level automation using Bash for Linux and PowerShell for Windows Server - Produce and review design artefacts - Support wider system testing activities - Work with Service Management to diagnose and resolve issues - Operate within Atlassian tools (JIRA & Confluence) for tasking and documentation
