Job Description
PE Global is currently recruiting for a Supplier Development Engineer for a leading multi-national engine manufacturing client based in Shrewsbury or Stafford.
This is an initial 12 month contract position based on site 5 days a week.
Pay Rate is £31.62ph PAYE or £42.92ph Umbrella.
Duties of the role/Responsibilities
1. Providing a link between the supplier and the various facilities.
2. Working with suppliers to develop a relationship and ensure the suppliers are proactively working to close any gaps in their processes to improve quality.
3. Identify any improvement opportunities in the supplier’s process by conducting process audits to ensure that robust process controls are in place to prevent nonconformities.
4. Continuously monitoring supplier’s manufacturing processes and quality management system for trends and improvements.
5. Assist suppliers with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP,CPPD) activities.
6. Including feasibility studies and project planning.
7. NPI New Product Introduction. Review supplier proposal for processing new items.
8. Challenge the suppliers process to ensure adequate due diligence.
