Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to work with a North East Local Authority on a temporary basis. This is initially a three month assignment working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Overview:
The HR Business Partner will work closely with Heads of Service, Head Teachers, and other senior leaders to manage HR processes, provide expert advice, and support organisational development.
Main Duties:
* Support senior managers with managing absence, capability, discipline, grievance, and workforce changes including organisational change, redundancy, and redeployment
* Apply national and local terms and conditions of employment, including grading of posts
* Provide training and mentoring to line managers to enable effective HR decision-making
* Deliver professional HR advice on recruitment, employment, and terms and conditions of employment
* Conduct research and analysis to support HR and organisational development projects
* Contribute to HR policy development and project work as required
* Promote and implement the organisation’s equality policy in all aspects of employment
* Maintain a safe, healthy, and secure working environment and adhere to all organisational policies and procedures
Essential Criteria:
* Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or senior HR professional in a public sector environment
* Strong knowledge of employee relations, workforce planning, and organisational change
* Ability to provide professional advice to senior leaders and line managers
* Experience in policy development and HR project delivery
* Excellent communication, mentoring, and analytical skills
