Carbon60 are interested in speaking with multiple Process Engineers to join our Client’s Hydrogen Business Unit in the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation who are an International Leader specialising in Large-Scale Energy and Construction Projects with plans for rapid growth in the UK over the next 12-months. As an experienced Process Engineer, you will have the knowledge and leadership skills to support the design, development and optimisation of Hydrogen Production, as well as Storage, & Distribution moving towards a scalable, environmentally responsible and market ready system.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with multi-functional teams from Concept through to Design and Development of advanced Hydrogen System Processes which meet regulatory standards and Sustainability targets.
2. Feasibility studies to assess efficiency and safety of various system components via modelling & simulations of Hydrogen Systems.
3. Prepare technical reports and documentation to present / communicate results and create a forum for insights and feedback aimed at providing direction and solutions to internal and external stakeholders.
4. Technical evaluations through data analytics to identify areas for process improvement to reduce environmental impact and improve energy efficiency.
5. External collaboration with industry partners, regulatory bodies and research institutions to ensure the company stay at the forefront of technological innovation.
6. Create and conduct process performance experiments to troubleshoot / refine / validate process parameters.
7. Lead the team / project ensuring safe systems of work and best practice and compliance across all aspects of the working culture as well as hydrogen systems.
Qualifications / Requirements:
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* Minimum of BSc. In Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar
* Strong working knowledge across the full project lifecycle of Hydrogen Production to End Product.
* Charted Engineer Status and / or Industry Membership (Preferrable)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a diverse and inclusive work culture.
* Collaborative outlook to relay technical details effectively within an interdisciplinary environment.
* Ability to interpret complex analytical data, understand technical challenges and provide innovative solutions.
* Familiar with UK & International regulatory safety & environmental standards with relation to Hydrogen.
* Extensive experience with one or multiple aspects of hydrogen as form of energy (Production / Carbon Capture & Storage CCS / Mobility / Syngas Production / Utilisation)
* Proficient with Process Simulation Tools (HYSYS, Aspen Plus etc.) and other related / relevant software’s
