As part of our dynamic Trading team, we’re looking for an experienced Online Manager to lead and grow our e-commerce presence—helping us generate vital income to support our life-saving work. In this rewarding role, you’ll take full ownership of our online retail operations, developing and implementing a forward-thinking e-commerce strategy to maximise income and supporter engagement. From overseeing listings on platforms like eBay to launching new digital sales channels, you’ll combine commercial savvy with a passion for purpose. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead and grow our online sales operation for donated goods across current and emerging platforms. Develop creative, data-driven strategies to boost income while maintaining an exceptional supporter experience. Work closely with Marketing to plan engaging promotions and storytelling content that brings our mission to life. Manage the full online sales lifecycle. Attract, train, and motivate volunteers to support online operations, offering inclusive roles that reflect compassion and respect. Delegate appropriate tasks and create a positive environment where volunteers feel valued and productive. Provide coaching and development opportunities in line with operational needs and values. Drive cost control across all areas of the operation, including postage, platform fees, packaging, and staffing. Build strong relationships with internal teams and retail shops to identify high-value items suitable for online sale. Train and motivate volunteers to support online operations and create an inclusive, welcoming environment. Ensure excellence in customer service and maintain a 100% positive feedback rating. Monitor and optimise online platform performance through analysis and continuous improvement. What You’ll Bring: Proven experience managing online sales of donated goods (e.g. eBay or similar). Strong understanding of commercial drivers including platform fees and fulfilment logistics. Excellent listing skills – compelling copywriting, professional photography, and pricing strategy. A track record of driving online income and identifying efficiency improvements. High-level organisational skills across multiple sales channels. Outstanding customer service and communication skills. Confident use of Microsoft Office and e-commerce tools. Collaborative, values-led approach to teamwork and stakeholder engagement.
