Assistant Management Accountant | South Leeds | £37,500 DOE plus study
A fast-growing, international technology group is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their Finance team. The company has multiple subsidiaries in the UK and abroad and prides itself on innovation, expansion, and creating opportunities for employees to develop their careers.
The Role:
This role supports the Finance Director and Management Accountant in producing accurate management accounts, maintaining financial integrity, and providing insight to support decision-making across the business. The role offers study support toward ACCA or CIMA, making it an ideal opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career while gaining exposure to senior stakeholders and multi-entity reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple group entities.
Record journal entries accurately and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare VAT return workings and support submissions.
Post sales invoices and cash transactions in the accounting system.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and monthly FX conversions for international entities.
Support month-end and year-end close procedures, payroll, and audits.
Assist the Finance Director and Management Accountant with ad hoc projects, process improvements, and finance team coverage as required.
Person Specification:
Essential:
Actively studying toward, or intending to pursue, a professional qualification (ACCA or CIMA).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced finance department.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirable:
Experience with multi-entity or international reporting.
Confident in MS Excel and Word.
Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
