Overview

Newton Primary School is looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic School Admin Assistant to join our warm and welcoming school community. This is a fixed term post, working 30 hours per week, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school office.


Responsibilities

* Act as the first point of contact for families, visitors, and professionals under the direction of the Headteacher.
* Use excellent communication skills to build positive relationships with parents and carers, providing information and support with warmth, professionalism and care.
* Support the front-of-house function and contribute to a well-organised school office.


Requirements / Qualifications

* Experience in an administrative role preferred but not essential.
* Ability to communicate effectively with parents, carers, and staff.
* Ability to work as part of a team and manage competing priorities.
* Be willing to undergo the PVG scheme checks (the successful candidate will be required to be a member of PVG for Children).
* Interviews will take place on Friday 31st October.

* 30 days annual leave plus 7 public holidays (rising to 35 after 5 years continuous service). Pro-rated for part-time roles.
* Flexible working including hybrid office/work from home arrangements where the role allows; balance across teams, with 2-3 days in the office per week.
* Biennial incremental progression until top of your pay scale is reached.
* Membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
* Up to 6 months full sick pay and 6 months half pay dependent on length of service.
