About Hinkley Point C
The first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years; Hinkley Point C in Somerset will provide low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes, create thousands of jobs and bring lasting benefits to the UK economy.
Marking a significant milestone in the revitalisation of our nuclear power industry, Hinkley Point C will make a major contribution to the UKs move to reduce carbon emissions. The electricity generated by its two EPR reactors will offset 9 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions a year, or 600 million tonnes over its 60-year lifespan.
What you'll be doing
As a Building Manager, you will have the following responsibilities,
1. Provide and demonstrate a positive HSE leadership, building a strong and compliant HS&E culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project.
2. Manage all day-to-day aspects of construction and site engineering ensuring that safe systems of work are adhered to.
3. Manage the interfaces between the MEH Alliance partners and subcontractors to ensure building delivery.
4. Lead, manage and motivate the building construction team through implementation of best practice.
5. Ensure productivity reviews are being carried out and reports are available.
6. Review of engineering design deliverables, procedures & RAMs.
7. Ensure Management of Change for all Site activities are identified, justified, and issued promptly via the Change Process.
8. Ensure the early implementation of Completions (ORBIT) with direct interfacing with Completions leads.
9. Assure Project CDM compliance.
Who we're looking for

10. Relevant engineering qualification in subject matterA
11. Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering)A
12. IOSH Managing safely
13. Experienced in delivering and operating within major construction projects including experience working within Joint Ventures
14. Ability to obtain a high-level security clearance.
