My client is looking to recruit a Customer Service Assistant to join their busy team. The E-Commerce department has continued to grow rapidly, and they are looking for a Customer Service Assistant to the team and help them maintain a first-class customer experience as they scale across the UK and Europe.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked in customer service within an online business and is confident handling day-to-day customer queries, orders and returns. Experience with online marketplaces (e.g., Amazon, eBay or similar) is a bonus, but not essential — what matters most is strong customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to stay organised in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities (including but not limited to)
* Handling customer queries via email and phone in a professional and helpful way
* Reviewing and processing customer orders, escalating issues where needed
* Managing returns and rejections, working closely with the warehouse team
* Updating customers on return status and resolving issues quickly and fairly
* Logging and maintaining accurate records in internal systems / CRM tools
* Supporting the wider team with general admin and customer service tasks as required

* A confident and friendly phone manner
* Great attention to detail and a “get it right first time” approach
* The ability to think on your feet and use initiative
* Solid IT skills (Microsoft Office) and confidence learning new systems
* Experience using order management systems — Linnworks experience is advantageous but not essential
* The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Fluent written and spoken English
* A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset

Location & hours
This is a full-time, office-based role at their Heywood offices. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:30pm.
