We are seeking a dedicated and passionate PE Lead Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will lead our PE department, ensuring that students receive high-quality physical education that promotes their physical and emotional well-being. Responsibilities:
6. Develop and implement a comprehensive PE curriculum that caters to the diverse needs of our students.
7. Plan and deliver engaging and inclusive PE lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive social interactions.
8. Lead extracurricular sports activities and events, providing opportunities for students to develop their skills and confidence.
9. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate PE into cross-curricular activities and promote a holistic approach to education.
10. Monitor and assess students’ progress in PE, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their goals.
11. Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to participate and succeed in PE.
12. Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and achievements in PE.
Requirements:
13. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. OR Experience teaching PE within a school.
14. Experience teaching PE, preferably in a SEMH or SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting.
15. Passion for working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
16. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
17. Commitment to promoting physical fitness, well-being, and inclusivity in PE.
