This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in maintenance or general caretaking, though the school is open to considering candidates who are capable and willing to learn. The role offers a full-time contract, with flexible shift options. Key Responsibilities: General Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance and minor repairs across the school site, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry tasks. Groundskeeping: Maintain the school grounds, including cleaning outdoor areas, managing waste disposal, and maintaining gardens. Health & Safety: Ensure the premises are safe and compliant with health and safety regulations. Security: Lock and unlock school premises at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring the building is secure at all times. General Support: Assist staff and students with deliveries, room setups, and general support for school events. Shift Patterns: Opening Shift: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM Closing Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM The school is flexible and will offer the shift pattern that works best for the successful candidate. Ideal Candidate: Experience: Previous experience in a caretaking, maintenance, or facilities management role is ideal, though not essential. Practical Skills: Able to carry out basic repairs, painting, and grounds maintenance. Proactive & Reliable: Strong sense of responsibility and ability to identify areas in need of attention. Team Player: Able to work effectively as part of a team while also managing tasks independently. Good Communication Skills: Comfortable liaising with staff and external contractors as needed.
