Assistant Client Accountant
Manchester City Centre | Hybrid working
£25,000 - £35,000
We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for an Assistant Client Accountant to join their Property Management team in Manchester city centre. This role will support the Client Accounting and Property Management teams with financial administration, ensuring accurate records, efficient processing of transactions, and excellent service to clients, tenants and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Upload and process supplier invoices within the property management system.
* Manage the purchase ledger inbox and respond to invoice queries.
* Reconcile supplier and utility statements, resolving discrepancies.
* Liaise with suppliers and contractors regarding payment queries.
* Assist with payment runs in line with company procedures.
* Support rent collection and arrears management alongside Property Managers and Client Accountants.
* Process BACS and other incoming payments, allocating correctly to tenant accounts.
* Handle tenant, client, and supplier enquiries via phone and email.
* Maintain accurate tenant ledgers and financial records.
* Assist with service charge budgets, reconciliations, and reporting.
* Complete bank reconciliations and investigate variances.
* Support business rates administration and maintain accurate documentation.
* Work collaboratively with the wider property finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial processing.
About You:
* Previous experience in a finance or accounting support role (property or commercial environment preferred).
* Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
* Confident using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office tools.
* Experience with property management systems is advantageous.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive, reliable and a strong team player.
