Job Description – Senior Data Analyst Data Analyst (Power BI | SQL | Advanced Analytics) Permanent | Hybrid | UK Public Sector Project OVERViEW We are looking for a Data Analyst to join a growing Data & Analytics practice, focused on delivering actionable insights and data-driven decision-making for clients. This is a client-facing role working across the full analytics lifecycle from data exploration to storytelling and advanced analytics. Who We’re Looking For A commercially minded Data Analyst who can translate complex data into meaningful insights and communicate them effectively to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Analyse complex datasets to identify trends and insights Develop KPIs, metrics, and analytical frameworks Build dashboards and reports using Power BI Create semantic models using DAX and Power Query Perform advanced analytics (forecasting, A/B testing, regression) Work with Microsoft Fabric and modern data platforms Collaborate with engineers and architects on data solutions Present insights to stakeholders in a clear, business-focused way Ensure data governance and quality standards Mandatory Requirements Strong experience in data analysis and insight generation Advanced Power BI skills (DAX, Power Query, modelling) Strong SQL skills Experience with Python and/or R for analysis Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Experience with statistical analysis and predictive modelling Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Desirable Experience in consulting / professional services Exposure to AI-driven analytics or Copilot tools Experience in regulated industries Experience with additional BI tools (Qlik, Looker, etc.) Soft Skills Strong analytical thinking Excellent communication and storytelling ability Attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to translate business needs into data solutions Contract Details Role Type: Permanent & Hybrid (2 days per week in the office) Location: Guildford Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) or active SC
