**Financial Leadership Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our team in a newly created role within a high growth Technology/Service provider.
The successful candidate will report directly to the CFO and play a pivotal role in the outputs from the Finance department across all financial disciplines.
As Financial Controller, you will oversee all financial aspects, implement and improve controls, and provide strategic financial guidance to support the company's overall success following the recent completion of a private equity backed management buyout.
You will lead a small team and work closely with various departments, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, playing a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of financial processes, contributing significantly to the achievement of the company's financial objectives.
This key role requires a detail-oriented financial professional who can lead a team effectively, taking charge of financial operations for this rapidly expanding group.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare Accurate and Timely Financial Statements: Ensure accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts are prepared.
* Collaborate with Department Heads: Collaborate with department heads to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts and monitor budget performance.
* Oversee Ledgers: Oversee General, Purchase, and Sales Ledgers.
* Month-End Close: Oversee month-end close, implementing improvements across processes and controls wherever possible.
* Quarterly Returns: Prepare FCA quarterly returns.
* Payroll and Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate monthly payroll and tax compliance.
* Cost Management: Monitor fixed costs and manage cash flow forecasts.
* Support Budgeting Process: Support budgeting process.
* Year-End Audit: Manage year-end audit process and preparation of statutory accounts across the Group.
* Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a team of three financial professionals, providing guidance, training, and support.
* Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
* Special Projects: Undertake special financial projects as assigned by the management and provide financial insights to support business initiatives.
Requirements:
* ACA or ACCA Qualification: Qualified ACA or ACCA with broad experience across finance.
* Desirable Experience: Exposure to improving and documenting Financial Controls and Financial Planning within a growing business would be desirable.
