Overview
Health Visitor role within Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services offering a clear development path, with the opportunity to become a dual qualified SCPHN Nurse and potential to progress to strategic Band 7 and 8 roles. You will be joining a team focused on clinical excellence and who recently received a Good CQC rating. We are commissioned to provide a range of children, young people and family services throughout Essex that are free at the point of delivery, on behalf of the NHS, Essex County Council, WECCG, HCRG Care Group and Barnardo's. This role is based at Harlequin Children's Centre, Spa Road, Witham (Braintree locality) and is part-time (22.5 hours / 3 days per week) as part of the Healthy Family Team, a multi-disciplinary group of Health Visitors, School Nurses, and Family Support colleagues committed to giving every child the best start in life.
Responsibilities
* Deliver the Healthy Child Programme, assessing health and developmental needs and providing tailored, evidence-based interventions.
* Use the Family Health Needs Assessment to plan, record and evaluate care, ensuring each family receives support that meets their unique circumstances.
* Develop and implement personalised care plans, empowering parents and carers to promote their child's wellbeing and resilience.
* Champion early identification and intervention, taking the lead professional role where appropriate and ensuring safeguarding best practice.
* Work collaboratively with GPs, Early Years teams and partner agencies to deliver joined-up, family-centred care across the community.
* Mentor and support SCPHN students and new colleagues, contributing to a culture of learning and professional growth.
* Promote public health and inclusion, helping families access local resources and make lasting improvements to their health and wellbeing.
* Engage in conversations with families to shape healthier, happier futures for children and families across Essex.
What you'll bring (Qualifications and Skills)
* SCPHN Health Visitor qualification.
* A commitment to improving child health and reducing inequalities through evidence-based practice.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with families and partners.
* A passion for continuous learning and innovation, contributing ideas to enhance the way we deliver care.
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
