Our client is expanding their network services capability and is seeking a hands‑on engineer to support enterprise customers across a diverse technical estate. This role offers the opportunity to work at the frontline of network and security operations, delivering critical services in a fast‑paced environment!
Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
* Act as the first escalation point for network and security incidents across enterprise customers.
* Identify root causes, resolve incidents, and elevate to senior colleagues or vendors where required.
* Support and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, firewall, and managed network solutions.
* Implement and support wired & wireless network infrastructure using a range of vendor technologies.
* Carry out customer change requests in line with internal and client change management processes.
* Contribute to operational delivery, including incident, problem, change, and continual service improvement activities.
* Support datacentre operations, including cabling, racks, and coordination of third‑party contractors.
* Participate in projects such as tooling enhancements, system migrations, and new service deployments.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, work instructions, and service records.
* Take part in an on‑call rota to provide out‑of‑hours support.
Skills / Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network technologies, with hands‑on experience in routing, switching, and security environments. You will be methodical, customer‑focused, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A proactive approach, willingness to learn, and commitment to service quality will be essential for success.
