Learning Support Assistant Level 2 Term time only including 5 TED days. Required from 1st January 2024 Hours: 32.5 per week. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant to support pupils in school. The successful candidate will provide learning, care and support for pupils with special educational needs to help work towards the outcomes on their education and health care plan (EHCP). This will involve working with the teacher to plan and deliver activities and supporting the pupil with routines, transitions and behaviour management. It would be beneficial if the candidate has previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant. The candidate should be able to build positive relationships with pupils, promote high self-esteem, independence, and social inclusion. They will demonstrate and encourage high standards of behaviour and support pupils with their social, emotional, and mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have: Energy, enthusiasm, creativity and talent. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills. A desire to make a positive difference to the lives of the pupils, forming strong mutually respectful relationships. Commitment to working as part of a team and in partnership with parents. Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or working with children. Experience delivering a range of interventions that support children’s specific needs.
