Head of Multi-Asset Investment Risk Location: London Barclay Simpson is recruiting on behalf of a leading global asset manager for a senior Head of Multi-Asset Investment Risk appointment based in London. This is a high-profile leadership role within a specialist investment risk function, with responsibility for overseeing risk across a broad multi-asset platform. Leading a small team, the successful candidate will provide independent oversight and challenge across a diverse range of investment strategies, while helping to shape and enhance the broader investment risk framework. The role will suit an experienced investment risk professional with strong multi-asset expertise, a commercial mindset, and the ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders across the investment business. Key responsibilities include: Leading a small team responsible for multi-asset investment risk oversight Providing independent analysis and challenge across portfolios and strategies Maintaining and developing frameworks for market, liquidity, factor and ESG risk oversight Monitoring portfolio risk exposures across asset classes, strategies and underlying drivers Supporting senior governance forums with clear, insightful risk reporting Working closely with portfolio managers and senior leadership to ensure robust risk transparency and discipline Contributing to the ongoing evolution of the investment risk function, tools and methodology Candidate profile: Significant investment risk experience gained within asset management or a buy-side environment Strong understanding of multi-asset strategies and associated market risks Prior experience managing, mentoring or developing risk professionals Strong knowledge of portfolio risk analytics and oversight frameworks Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to operate with independence, judgement and commercial awareness Experience with risk systems such as Aladdin would be beneficial Quantitative or coding capability, including Python, would be advantageous This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded investment platform in a visible leadership role, offering broad exposure, senior stakeholder engagement and the chance to influence the development of a growing risk capability.
