Job Description Summary:
The Bellavista Nursing Home is seeking motivated and enthusiastic nurses to join as Band 5 staff nurses. This role is suitable for overseas qualified nurses who have met the NMC English language requirements (IELTS or OET) and have completed Part 1 of the NMC Test of Competence CBT. Candidates working towards Part 2 (OSCE) leading to full NMC registration will also be considered, provided they complete registration within 8 months.
Main Duties:
 * Assist in delivering high standards of care, assessing nursing needs, and implementing appropriate interventions.
 * Support residents with dressing, bathing, mobility, and use of aids and equipment.
 * Promote mental and physical activities for residents through engaging activities.
 * Provide care for residents who are ill, require medication, or are at the end of life.
 * Work closely with registered nurses, gain knowledge of NMC standards, and undertake necessary registration duties.
 * Supervise colleagues, manage shifts, and ensure proper handovers for continuity of care.
Communication:
 * Participate in staff and client meetings.
 * Follow instructions from managers.
 * Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Training & Development:
 * Participate in induction and ongoing training.
 * Maintain professional competence and knowledge.
 * Attend mandatory training and relevant qualifications courses.
Health and Safety:
 * Report illnesses or accidents immediately.
 * Follow health, safety, infection control, and emergency procedures.
 * Report hazards or faulty equipment.
 * Promote safe working practices.
General Responsibilities:
 * Contribute to safeguarding adults and prevent abuse or neglect.
 * Adhere to local and national policies and initiatives.
 * Maintain the home's reputation and confidentiality.
 * Report absences promptly.
 * Ensure security and proper maintenance of equipment.
