Job Description
Supporting our e-fulfilment operation for a well-known recognised brand. The site will handle the movement of customer-specific products, including beers, wines and spirits, within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
As Operations Controller(Flow Controller)you will contribute to the success of the site by supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring that all schedules for inbound receipts and outboundVolumesare run efficiently, liaising with warehouse operatives, Shift Supervisors and Shift Managers to maintain a smooth flow of work throughout the shift.
Working hours : 4 on 4 off night,18:00 - 06:00
Salary: Up to £34,260+ £2,000 night premium per annum DOE
Key Duties of a Operations Controller :
* Efficiently managing the outbound schedule to ensure collectiontimes are met.
* Issuing instructionsthrough the Supervisors and Team Leaders tomaintaina smooth flowofoutbound work, ensuring all orders are completed on time and in full.
* Being theinitialpoint of contactfrom gatehousefollowing vehicle arrival to site.
* Communicating issues to Shift Managerin a timely mannerto minimise disruption to the schedule.
* Participating as an active member of the operations team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency,customerand quality focus.
* Maintaininggood communicationwith the customerto ensure late collections and delivery failures are avoided.
* Producing a thorough, detailed handover to the following shift highlighting potential issues,remindersand current state of play.
Qualifications
* Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and available resources.
* Able todemonstratea high levelof attention to detail.
* Must be a team player whocan workon their own initiative.
* Able todemonstrateanin-depthknowledge of on-site systems.
* Able to work to tight deadlines.
* Experience and good working knowledge ofWMSand RF kit.
* PC Literate in Excel and Outlook.
* Shoulddemonstratethe drive and desire to progress.
* Must be flexible in approach to work and shift patternstocover for absence.
* Be able todemonstratea courteous and professional attitude towards customers andthird-partyhauliers.
* Should have good oral and written communication skills.
* Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems.
* Strong interpersonal, conciliation skills and the capacity to network with suppliers,hauliersand customers.
