WHY WE WANT YOU
As a member of our Income Generation Department, you'll assist our Fundraising Team in nurturing relationships with our incredible supporters.
You'll be a friendly face to greet them when they arrive at the hospice, handle donations, distribute fundraising materials, and provide an excellent service. During quieter times, you'll also support the team with various administrative tasks, such as preparing fundraising packs and collection tins, and computer-based work.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
* Welcome and greet supporters
* Accept donations and handle cash in accordance with the established cash handling procedures (full training will be provided).
* Accept gifts in kinds in accordance with established procedures (full training will be given).
* Prepare/distribute fundraising materials as requested to supporters.
* Inscribing 'total raised' on our large cheques and capturing photos if the supporter requests them.
* Respond to any enquiries about our services and fundraising initiatives.
* Engage supporters in discussions about their fundraising efforts, documenting key information to share with the Fundraising team.
THE SKILLS YOU NEED
* Good IT skills Good communication skills Being able to demonstrate strong emotional resilience Commitment to undertake any training required for the role including a mixture of face-to-face training and e-learning as required for the role

WHAT TRAINING MUST I DO?
We do need you to attend our Staff and Volunteer Induction Day training as well as completing some e-learning which will be assigned depending on your role.
