A Unique Opportunity to Shape the Future of Public Health in Forth Valley.
NHS Forth Valley is seeking an exceptional and visionary leader to join our Executive Team as Director of Public Health. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our organisation, offering the opportunity to influence and lead across the full spectrum of public health practicehealth improvement, health protection, healthcare public health, and health intelligence.
As a member of the NHS Forth Valley Board and Executive Leadership Team, you will provide strategic leadership and expert public health advice to the Board, our two Integration Joint Boards (IJBs), and our Community Planning Partnerships. You will also play a key role in shaping our response to health inequalities, prevention, and population health challenges across the region.
You will:
1. Lead the Public Health Directorate and provide professional leadership to a skilled and multidisciplinary team.
2. Act as the principal source of public health advice to the Board and wider system partners.
3. Drive forward our strategic priorities in Values Based Health & Care and reducing health
4. inequalities.
5. Champion evidence-based decision-making and population health intelligence.
6. Foster collaborative relationships across NHS, local government, academia, and the voluntary sector.
