Youll be trusted to manage your work, communicate with clients directly, and keep assignments moving efficiently. Key responsibilities include: Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships Producing management accounts for owner-managed businesses Bookkeeping and preparing/reviewing VAT returns, including more complex cases Drafting corporation tax computations for limited companies (with support available) Liaising with clients to resolve queries and gather information Keeping managers/directors updated on progress and deadlines Supporting junior team members where needed, especially on bookkeeping and VAT tasks What were looking for Essential: 25 years experience in a UK accountancy practice (general practice) Confident with bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office Strong communication skills and a professional approach with clients Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines with minimal supervision Desirable: AAT qualified or studying ACCA/ACA Experience with CCH Accounts Preparation, Sage, QuickBooks or cloud accounting software Exposure to basic corporation tax work (drafting computations) Youll suit this role if you are Organised, hands-on and self-reliant Comfortable speaking with clients and building relationships Keen to keep learning and progress in practice Practical, deadline-focused and proactive
