With a third production line launching in early 2026, we're expanding our capabilities and driving operational excellence. As an Engineering Shift Supervisor you’ll be at the heart of this journey – leading your team, championing safety, and delivering outstanding results. Shifts: 78h 2‑week rota (day and night shifts) working every other weekend allowing for weekend maintenance. As Engineering Lead Operator, you will play a key role in leading a team of maintenance engineers, driving reliability improvements, and ensuring safe and efficient operations across our production equipment. This position requires technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and lead a team of 4 maintenance engineers
* Oversee and execute preventive maintenance tasks
* Maintain and update CMMS records accurately
* Promote and enforce safe working practices
* Coordinate with contractors for maintenance and repairs
* Communicate effectively across departments
* Attend weekly management meetings and support cross‑functional goals
* Support training and development of team members
* Assist in reliability improvement initiatives
Qualifications
* Engineering background with experience in factory maintenance
* Familiarity with CNC machines, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, steam systems, and control systems
* Experience with woodworking machinery and FMCG environments is a plus
* Strong mechanical and basic electrical knowledge
* IOSH certification preferred (training available if needed)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
* Ability to work collaboratively across departments
